She did not know of them,
neither head nor tail.

Those were strange men,
they who stood there
on her fine Persian carpet
with puddles in their shoes.

They said they were there,
all three,
to fix the television,
soaking wet and cold.

The woman did not understand
how three fish in trouser
could do anything
for the old cable tv.
