Quartier am Hafen is a place of artistic dialogue, research and production. More than 80 professional visual artists, media artists, designers, dancers and musicians have rented rooms here since 2010, almost half of which are sponsored by the City of Cologne’s cultural department. Curated solo and group exhibitions by invited artists are shown four times a year in the Q18 exhibition space, which opened in 2011. The series is conceived by a different curator each year. A funding programme gives emerging curators the possibility to develop and position themselves over the course of the year. A residency programme is currently under development.
