The interdisciplinary project space GOLD+BETON was founded in August 2013 by Meryem Erkus, Vera Drebusch and Andreas Rohde. Alongside regular exhibitions, the focus of the project is on creating a social, communicative communality in a strongly artistic context. Concerts, readings and abstract actions are part of the project’s unpretentious monthly programme. GOLD+BETON’s distinctive unique selling point is its conception as a heterogeneous meeting place. The invited artists also draw on the extraordinary potential of the location, often seeing both the space, as well as the Ebertplatz as a whole, as a temporary laboratory. There is particular promotion of young artists at the beginning of their careers. The following artists, among others, have exhibited: Selma Gültoprak, Sina Seifee, Bernhard Holaschke, Jan Pleitner, Timothy Shearer, Eva-Maria Schaller, Vera Drebusch, Dejan Spasovski, Sebastian Thewes.
