Das Ausstellungsprojekt NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN beinhaltet eine immersive Rauminstallation und partizipativer Formate, die es dem Publikum durch Gesprächsformate und Improvisation ermöglichen, das eigene körperliche und assoziative Erleben wahrzunehmen.

In einer forschenden Herangehensweise entwickelt die Künstlerin Anna Zett neue Formate und Methoden, die das eigene Erleben des Publikums am künstlerischen Prozess beteiligen. Ihr Projekt NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN fragt nach emotionalen und sensuellen Ebenen der Selbstorganisation in Gruppen und Gesellschaften. Das Neue Forum war eine basisdemokratische oppositionelle Bewegung, die das revolutionäre Ende der DDR aktiv mitgestaltet hat. Ausgehend von Anna Zetts Recherche im Archiv der DDR-Opposition, aus der ihr Film Es gibt keine Angst hervorging, widmete sich ihre Arbeit der körperlichen Aktivierung von (post-)sozialistischen Erlebnissen, die von der Gegenwart abgeschnitten wurden. Daran anknüpfend öffnet NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN den physischen Raum für aktuelle Erlebnisse von Angst und Kontrolle in einer polarisierten politischen Situation.

The exhibition project NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN includes an immersive spatial installation and participatory formats that enable the audience to perceive their own physical and associative experience through discussion formats and improvisation.
Using embodied research and experimentation, artist Anna Zett develops new formats and methods that involve the audience's own experience in the artistic process. Her project NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN explores the emotional and sensory levels of self-organization in groups and societies. The New Forum was a grassroots democratic oppositional movement that actively shaped the revolutionary end of the GDR. Based on Anna Zett's research in the archive of the GDR opposition, from which her film Afraid doesn’t exist (Es gibt keine Angst) emerged, her work is dedicated to the embodied activation of (post-)socialist experiences that were cut off from the present. Continuing from this research, NEUES FORUM DER NERVEN opens up the physical space for current experiences of fear and control in a polarized political situation.
